Ill never leave you,..no never
But ill be gone before the sun has a chance to rise
I could never hurt you,...no not ever
But ill laugh at the tears that fall from your eyes
The soul you despise is the soul that's my prize
Forever hindering.. to the point of demise
I care about what you have to say
But ill never look at you when you speak
Tell me your aspirations please i need to know the way
But ill fail to continue promises through out the week
Sweet contradiction leaves hypocritical situations in suspicion
And while reassuring bullshit may get you through the day, it also often leads to conviction.

ReplyDeletelol thank you
ReplyDeleteAgain I am liking the more open nature of the poem. I like the patterned contradictions throughout. Fav contradiction is that although YOU won't do the hurting you will do the laughing at the hurt. Something about that one sstands out.
ReplyDelete1st stanza is my fav followed closely by stanza 2.
