Punk
Hidden messages behind walls of laughter
Innocence and insecurity becoming beauty much...after
Laughter laughter with bags above the sky
Frustration never stated but captured with a solitary...sigh
Lined eyes and nice tries always evolved
But adolescent pain must be boxed and resolved
Love always existing even when kissing
But even now still something must be....missing
Boise potatoes could never contain the spunk
And that’s why I always called you punk.

ReplyDelete"But adolescent pain must be boxed and resolved"

Those are my favourite lines. The like the pauses created with the dots. Especially effective in the 'missing' and 'sigh' lines.
I do enjoy your more revealing poems. As a reader it is much easier and more effective to connect with the feelings being portrayed.
ALSO, I like how you start with punk and end with punk. I think if you added 3 dots before the last 'punk' it would add more impact.
